Yamaha Unveils AI Bike That Balances Itself | Future of Smart Motorcycling

Yamaha has unveiled a groundbreaking concept AI bike that can balance itself automatically, even when the rider isn’t holding it. The innovation marks a major step forward in smart mobility and safety technology for motorcycles.

Unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, the prototype, called Yamaha Motobot Neo, combines artificial intelligence, self-learning systems, and gyroscopic stabilisation to maintain balance and adjust in real time to different terrains and speeds.

The AI allows the bike to learn a rider’s behaviour, making it safer, more responsive, and suitable for both beginners and professionals. Yamaha says this technology could reduce accidents caused by loss of control and make urban commuting smoother and safer.

According to the company, the self-balancing system works even when the bike is stationary, thanks to sensors and gyroscopes that continuously calculate the bike’s center of gravity.

While the concept is not yet ready for production, Yamaha hinted that similar technologies could soon appear in future electric motorcycles and smart commuter bikes.
