Cashfree Revenue Rises to ₹640 Crore in FY25, Losses Up 14%

Bengaluru, India:
Fintech firm Cashfree Payments reported a revenue of ₹640 crore in FY25, marking a steady year of growth driven by its expanding digital payment and API-based banking services. However, the company’s losses increased by 14% year-on-year, mainly due to higher employee costs and technology investments.

According to the company’s financial filings, Cashfree’s total expenses rose to ₹720 crore in FY25, up from ₹630 crore in FY24. The firm said it continued to invest in compliance, product development, and infrastructure to strengthen its market position amid rising competition in India’s digital payments space.

Despite the losses, Cashfree maintained a strong transaction volume growth across its payment gateway, payout, and API banking services. The company serves over 3,00,000 businesses, including top clients in e-commerce, gaming, lending, and logistics.

A company spokesperson said,

“Our focus remains on scaling sustainable payments infrastructure and expanding globally. The increase in losses is part of our long-term growth investment.”

Cashfree has also been expanding internationally, especially in Southeast Asia, offering localised payment solutions through its partnerships with banks and financial institutions.

With growing digital payment adoption and UPI dominance, analysts believe Cashfree’s continued focus on innovation could help it improve profitability over the next 2–3 years.
