boAt Turns Profitable After 2 Years, Reports ₹60 Crore Profit in FY25

After two consecutive years of losses, Indian audio and wearables brand boAt has made a strong comeback by reporting a net profit of ₹60 crore in FY25. The company, known for its affordable and stylish earphones, smartwatches, and speakers, achieved this turnaround through cost control, product innovation, and strong online sales.

boAt’s parent company, Imagine Marketing Ltd, saw its total revenue rise to ₹3,250 crore, up 12% year-on-year (YoY) from ₹2,900 crore in FY24. The firm attributed its success to expanding its smartwatch category, premium product launches, and stronger retail presence.

From Loss to Profit

In FY24, boAt had reported a loss of ₹130 crore, mainly due to rising component costs and marketing expenses. However, in FY25, the company optimized its supply chain, cut down on discounting, and focused on launching products in mid and premium segments, which boosted profit margins.

Expanding Beyond Audio

boAt, which started as an audio accessories brand, has now evolved into a complete lifestyle tech brand. Its smartwatch lineup, including models like boAt Lunar Pro and Wave Elevate, has become one of India’s best-sellers in the sub-₹3,000 category.

The company also continues to lead the TWS (True Wireless Stereo) segment in India, competing closely with brands like Noise, OnePlus, and Boult Audio.

IPO Plans and Future Growth

With its return to profitability, boAt is reportedly revisiting its IPO plans, which were earlier put on hold due to market volatility. The company aims to expand internationally and invest in AI-powered health and fitness tech products.

Analysts believe boAt’s strategy to shift toward premium offerings and offline expansion could help sustain long-term growth.
